PSA Level One Obedience in Action
This video shows level one obedience work, the foundation every well-mannered dog needs. Level one skills are the building blocks for everything that comes after, from calm walks around the neighborhood to dependable off-leash control.
At this stage, dogs learn to pay attention to their handler, hold a sit and a stay, walk in a heel without pulling, and come when called. The goal is not just to perform a command once, but to respond reliably and stay engaged even when there is something more interesting nearby. Clean, consistent foundations make advanced work faster and more dependable.
How We Build Obedience
Our Denver trainers keep sessions structured and consistent, then gradually add distractions so skills hold up in real life. Most dogs build these skills in our Board and Train program, where they train daily in a structured setting. Owners who prefer to learn alongside their dog can choose in-home dog training.
