Real reviews from Austin dog owners

Read what local families say about our Board & Train, dog boarding and refresh training programs.

Every review below comes from a real Austin dog owner and was posted on Google. They cover our Board & Train program, dog boarding and the refresh training and lifetime support that come with it. You will read about puppies, rescues, reactive dogs and big, strong breeds. Most of the owners came to us with the same problems: pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, ignoring “come” and bolting out the door.

Board & Train Reviews

Our two-week Board & Train program is where most Austin families start. Here is what owners noticed when their dogs came home.

“In two weeks, Betty & Wilma were obedient, able to walk on a leash, able to sit in place for extended periods of time, able to go into a coffee shop without getting rambunctious, able to maintain composure when other animals were nearby.”

Tanner S., owner of Betty and Wilma, Google review

“We sent our 6 month old golden retriever, Ford, here for their 2 week board and train program… I was super impressed upon pickup to see how well trained Ford was.”

Brooke M., owner of Ford (Golden Retriever), Google review

“Our dog, Ruby, was a stray and had no previous experience living in a house or with any commands… After her training, she is much more obedient, doesn’t jump on our guests, knows basic commands, and can walk on a leash without pulling. The “place” command has been a game changer in our home.”

Catherine U., owner of Ruby (rescue), Google review

“Our one-year-old Goldendoodle, Tucker, was completely out of control. He was darting out the front door, jumping on guests and our kids, counter surfing, pulling on the leash… When we picked him up, he was a completely different dog.”

Kaylee S., owner of Tucker (Goldendoodle), Google review

“Before bringing him to Mathew, Kellen would react towards every dog we came across… This morning on our way back into my building I was walking in the hallway towards my unit, and a person came out of the elevator lobby and walked right by us. Kellen’s only reaction was to look at me, stay right by my side, and to keep walking.”

Dimitris M., owner of Kellen, Google review

“We took our one year old Cavalier here for the two week board and train program. He came back a different (upgraded) dog. He is so much more calm and relaxed… They stayed in communication throughout, giving substantive updates, and gave us a 90-minute lesson at pickup.”

Mark T., Cavalier owner, Google review

“We added a rescue blue heeler to our family and she was not well socialized. Matt was amazing, addressed all her concerns over the two weeks and she’s now completely calm in public and we can take her on walks without worry.”

Samantha S., Blue Heeler owner, Google review

Dog Boarding Reviews

Families also trust us with their dogs while they travel. These reviews talk about care, communication and peace of mind during a stay.

“They were very prompt in communicating our dog’s needs while he was boarded and reassured us that he was well taken care of and attended to throughout his stay.”

Amanda P., owner of Wylie, Google review

“Nala came home happy, well cared for, and with skills that continue to benefit our family every day. We were so pleased with the experience that we’re already booking her next boarding stay.”

Ana G., owner of Nala, Google review

“My puppy Queso stayed with them for two weeks… They took such great care of her and sent me weekly photos and updates that gave me so much peace of mind.”

Gregory C., owner of Queso, Google review

“Matthew is extremely knowledgeable and the boarding facility is clean and spacious.”

Megan M., Bernedoodle owner, Google review

“I’m extremely happy with the progress my dog made and the care he received while boarding.”

Nailet M., Google review

Refresh Training and Lifetime Support Reviews

Training does not stop at pickup. Owners say the follow-up support and refresh sessions help the results last.

“The lifetime follow-up sessions have been incredibly valuable as we’ve worked through new situations and reinforced everything he learned. It’s reassuring to know we always have someone to reach out to when questions come up or we need a refresher.”

Shannon B., Google review

“Our boy learned place, to walk on a leash with good manners, not to react to everything he sees, and sit. He is our fifth GSD, but the most head strong one we’d had, and having the ongoing support of Mathew and his team is wonderful. We’ve already planned our next stay with refresh lessons.”

Damon R., German Shepherd owner, Google review

“His recall has improved dramatically, his “place” command is rock solid, and walking him on leash has become such a pleasure… I plan to bring Miles back for a refresher course when I’m out of town for a week.”

Dom S., owner of Miles, Google review

“During the pick up we were also trained on the things we needed to do to keep up the training at home… The company also offers free training refreshers for the dogs which is a nice peace of mind and board and training options in the future.”

Kelly W., Google review
